Dear Dr. Craig,
My name is Brooks XXXXXX and I maintain a web site entitled “Christianity:
Bogus Beyond Belief.” It is located here:
http://the-anointed-one.com/bbu84/biblicalstupidity/home.htm
After reading some of the pages on your site I
became interested in commenting on them in my web site. In particular, there is
a 1993 debate on morality between you and Professor Richard Taylor that
contains statements I was especially interested in critiquing. The statements
are located on one specific page, here:
http://www.origins.org/offices/billcraig/docs/craig-taylor2.html
The only way to effectively critique your statements
without being accused of taking them out of context would be to include the
entire page just as it is presented, include everything on the page that you say,
and simply insert my comments afterwards in bold or italics. Also, I would have
a very clear link to the site of the entire debate. And you could even rebut
what I say about your statements, if you so desire. I am asking your permission
to do this since you have a copyright restriction on everything in your web
site, making it difficult to respond to what you say in your debates and
articles. Taking bits and pieces or paraphrasing your words just does not do
justice to your arguments.
I do not have any advertisements on my site. I do
have links to similar sites and Christian sites. I already have a link to your
web site. I do not make any money from my web site. The purpose of my web site
is to allow me to share my ideas about Christianity with others. I post e-mails
to my site from Christians and I have a guest book where Christians can write
absolutely anything they want. I think the free expression of ideas is quite
healthy.
Please let me know if you will allow me to copy your
comments in total from this one page, add my comments to them and post the
resulting page to my web site. If not, then I plan to take selected quotations
from the specified web page and comment just on them. If you would like to
respond to me via e-mail, my address is Tekministry@aol.com.
Thank you for taking the time to consider this and
have a nice day.
Sincerely,
Brooks XXXXXX
